TOPIC 01.
How to help neurotypical and neurodiverse individuals to better communicate through design?
Experiments
Always intrigued to see how design can be used as a tool to discuss any possibilities regarding today's emerging topics.
This project collection discussed the topics such as:
How can we help neurotypical and neurotic individuals to have their voice through design?
How will blockchain technology impact the rental experience?
How can we create a fun and inclusive game for children to socialise? and etc.

This is an experimental project which I did with a multidiscipline team. There are students in service design, printing and contemporary art majors at RCA. We generated pop up events in RCA white city campus to encourage people to shift the mindset of neurodiversity individuals and try to redefine the conventional meaning of "normal" and "abnormal". By wearing the different "abnormal" badges, viewers can start talking about some so-called abnormal characteristics with others naturally and break stereotypes of each other.
TOPIC 02.
How will blockchain technology impact the rental experience?

E-Rent
E Rents is a blockchain technology-based mechanism for monitoring rental behaviour, including a mobile app, webpage and smart lock system.
It aims to simplify the traditional renting process. It empower the tenants community so they can know the real conditions of the house and help lanlard reduce waiting time and extra costs from agents.

TOPIC 03.
How can we create a fun and inclusive game for children to socialise?

Barrier-Free Immersive Social Game
This is an immersive experience game that simulates the world in which visually impaired people live.
Throughout the game, it allows those who participate to interact and collaborate with other players and have a deeper understanding and empathy for people with visual impairment.

TOPIC 04.
What if your pet can stay with you forever?

Soul Egg
This is a speculative project that describes the different forms in which pet owners can face the death of their pets with the help of technology.
This system collects data on pets while they are alive through smart devices, giving users two options after their pets passed away:
1.Users can have a digital pet exactly like their previous pet, which will retain all the characteristics of the pet when it was alive and continue to accompany them.
2. Users can also adopt a new pet that relates to their previous pet based on data collected from their previous pet.

Some thoughts:

As a designer, I have always been curious about the world and I try to use my work to express my insights. I see my projects as a channel that enable people to open a dialogue.
How can we empower vulnerable groups and help them to have a voice through design?
As a designer, what position should I keep in the project? A neutral narrator or a radical explorer?
...
These are questions that I always ask myself as a designer. My exploration will not stop and I look forward to the opportunities to explore more interesting topics and collaborate with more people.
